In accordance to art. 13 of Regulations (UE) 2016/679 about the protection of personal data, this page describes the treatment of personal data:
- about users who visti the ASTRI Mini-Array web site at URL www.astri.inaf.it;
- about users who want to use our online service, that is in our case the access to online reserved area.
- about users who leave comments.
This information does not concern other web sites or pages and online services reachable via hypertext links in our web site that refer to external resources and have their own Privacy Policy.

Purpose and legal framework of treatment
Personal data regarding services given through this web site are treated by the Responsible only for INAF Institutional purposes, for public interest or for legal fulfillment.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Navigation Data
The technical procedures of this web site obtain, through usual Internet Transfer Protocol exchanges, a number of personal data:
computer IP address or domain used by the user accessing the site, the URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) of requested resources, the time of the request, the server submission method for request, the response file dimension, the server digital code for response (successful, error, etc.) and other user parameters about the operating system and computing environment of the user.
We treat these personal data, needed for the good performance of the site, also to:
- obtain statistical information about our services (visited pages, number of users, etc.);
- check the correct mode of operation of our services.
However, given their nature, these data could be used to identify the users through elaboration in common with third parties’ data. This would be the case e.g. when investigating about computer crimes committed against this web site.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on this site we collect the data shown in the comments form, together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

So-called session (non-persistent) cookies are used exclusively to the extent this is necessary to enable secure, efficient browsing. In particular, our website uses the Google Analytics service.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Rights of data subjects
Data subject have the right to obtain from INAF, where appropriate, access to their personal data as well as rectification or erasure of such data or the restriction of the processing concerning them, and to object to the processing (pursuant to Articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation).

Right to lodge a complaint
If a data subject considers that the processing of personal data relating to him or her as performed via this website infringes the Regulation, he or she has the right to lodge a complaint with the “Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali”, pursuant to Article 77 of the Regulation, or else to bring a judicial proceeding against the INAF pursuant to Article 79 of the Regulation.
Data recipients
Data may be transmitted to companies, organizations or associations expressly appointed as data processors by INAF pursuant to Article 28 of the Regulation.
Personal data may also be disclosed to persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorized to process personal data.
Personal data collected as above are also processed by staff from the INAF ASTRI project, acting on specific instructions concerning purposes and arrangements of such processing.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
