The science of ASTRI at the ICRC in Geneva
The ASTRI Collaboration is attending the 39th International Cosmic Ray Conference (ICRC 2025) in Geneva, Switzerland.
ASTRI scientists are presenting 4 contributed talks and 14 posters, covering the current status of the project, its scientific goals, data processing and simulations, calibration activities, and AIV (Assembly, Integration and Verification) procedures.
Held every two years since 1947, the ICRC is organized by Commission C4 (Astroparticle Physics) of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). It is one of the most important international events on cosmic ray physics, high-energy and gamma-ray astrophysics, neutrino astrophysics, dark matter, solar and heliospheric physics, multi-messenger astronomy, and gravitational waves.
Thousands of scientists from all over the world take part, sharing the latest results from their research.
The ASTRI Collaboration is contributing to the sessions on gamma-ray astrophysics and is among the most active and visible teams at the conference. Many team members – from various INAF Institutes across Italy (and beyond) – including the PI of the project, had the opportunity to present the latest developments.
The main focus was on [the first scientific results, the performance of the ASTRI Mini Array telescopes, or other specific highlight], confirming ASTRI’s central role in the international gamma-ray community.
